Positive: Villa Ariston was a perfect blend of old world elegance and modern convenience. Perhaps most impressive was the Villas location right on the Adriatic - our room had a spectacular view facing the sea - it was amazing to open the drapes in the morning and take in the landscaped gardens, terraces, and walkway to the water. The room itself, especially the bathroom was ultra-modern and supplied with fluffy towels. Finally, the staff was especially gracious, and engaging - we enjoyed chatting with all the Ariston folks about the history of the Villa, tips on restaurants and tourist sites along the Opatija "riviera".

Negative: Enjoyed our stay immensely - sorry that the restaurant was down for renovations. We'll have to come back to sample their cuisine.

Summary: The Villa is a lovely blend of old world charm, modern rooms, spectacular location & friendly staff.
