The ancient village of Stanjel, the oldest settlement in the region, is only a 5-minute drive from the property. Stanjel is dominated by the Medieval castle, which is a fascinating place to visit and offers many activities for all ages as well as a restaurant serving local cuisine.

The city’s main market in Riva Ottaviano Augusto is open from Tuesday to Saturday and is the best place to pick up the freshest local fruit and vegetables. Nearby visitors will find some beautiful beaches, including Canovella degli Zoppoli (32 minutes) and close by Le Ginestre beach (33 minutes)
Away from the coast, the area is famous for its rock formations, caves and subterranean rivers. Skocjan Caves (35 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a spectacular series of caves, stalagmites and stalactites. Wine has been produced in the region for thousands of years, so a trip to one of the nearby vineyards is a must. The Fedora Natural Wine Estate (13 minutes) is over 100 years old.
