Lake Tribalj, 5km from the charming town of Crikvenica, is absolutely beautiful and gives the village of Tribalj a special charm. It is a paradise for fishermen, skaters and paragliders as well as cyclists and walkers. That is what makes Villa Savin so special. It is just 100m from the lake and boasts picturesque views of the dazzling waters and hillsides. Situated in the countryside, approximately 10km from the sea, the villa is so peaceful and relaxing. It was built in 2018 with four bedrooms sleeping eight guests.

Tribalj is a quiet village of just 600 people on the Vinodal coastal area of Croatia, dating back to the Roman times. It is a wonderful place to hike and admire the rugged landscape. Many ruins pepper the mountainsides and you are no distance from the sea and tourist entertainment in the towns of Crikvenica, Rijeka, Opatija and on the island of Krk.

Villa Savin has an unusual design. The swimming pool is indoor though huge doors open to the fabulous terrace bringing the outside in. There is a games room on the ground floor with a pool table and table football. There is also a fabulous sauna, gym equipment and a bathroom close to the pool. The smart and comfortable open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is on the first floor, with access to a terrace with modern dining furniture. The kitchen is sleek and contemporary and includes a helpful breakfast bar. Also on this level is a spacious double bedroom with a huge bed and a lovely ensuite bathroom.

The remaining three double bedrooms are on the upper floor, each with their own dazzling ensuite bathroom. All of the beds in this villa are two single mattresses, so are enormous and extremely comfortable. Two of the bedrooms have access to a balcony, and two of them have charming, sloping ceilings. All of the rooms in this villa are spacious and very modern in design.

The outdoor space is lovely with a huge terrace decked with sun loungers, covered alfresco dining with a built-in barbecue and lounge furniture. There are also some grassy banks which make this a very attractive outside space. It will be so easy to relax and chill here!

Location:

The countryside location of Tibalj is the best of both worlds. Quiet and peaceful, yet very close to busy towns with fabulous dining and entertainment opportunities.

The bustling Rijeka is Croatia’s third largest city. You will discover charm, culture, good nightlife, intriguing festivals and Croatia’s most colourful carnival. You can mingle with the locals over a cup of coffee or a night out on Korzo, the attractive, busy promenade. Rijeka is more like a Central European city like Budapest or Prague with its striking neoclassical palaces and theatre. There are also Blue Flag beaches with amazing watersports available. Trsat Castle is reached by climbing the grandiose staircase that runs from Titov Trg near the former border between Italy and Yugoslavia. The views of the Bay of Kvarner are spectacular. Rijeka’s harbour is very busy, with many tourist ferries and also bars and cafes. You might be able to catch some opera or ballet at the Croatian National Theatre in the city centre. The lively central market and fish market are also worth a visit. The fish market building is decorated with sculptures of sea creatures, looking almost like a temple of fish.

North of Rijeka is the wonderful town of Opatija. It is a lovely place to visit. You can walk the Croatian Walk of Fame dedicated to famous Croatian legends such as Goran Ivanisevic, and you can talk a selfie with the famous ‘Girl with the Seagull’ monument, explore the Museum of Croatian Tourism or just enjoy a fabulous lunch at one of the many splendid restaurants.

Crikvenica is also a lovely town with a large indoor aquatic centre with saunas, solarium, massage and thalassotherapy wellness programmes. There are several beaches with cafes, restaurants, watersports, playgrounds and so on. Crikvenica has many historic buildings including the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary built in 1412. Crikvenica also has a large mall that opened in 2013, the Duga Mall shopping centre.
