Situated in the North Street of Kotor Old Town (during medieval times being the wealthiest street where influential merchants resided) just behind 12th century St Tryphon Cathedral (the patron and protector of the city), our elegant and charming duplex apartment with breathtaking views over the Cathedral towers and architecture will provide you with comfort, grace and feeling of being part of a very special moment in history belonging to magnificent Bay that was a cradle of many a civilisations.
The town archives indicate that the house where our flat is situated is believed to have been built around 12th century. Most probably built for the community of brothers who were the members of numerous brotherhood associations very common in middle ages. The statue of the priest on the north facade can support that assumption. We are in the process of discovering further facts from the local organisations for cultural and heritage preservation.
The crest above the entrance door is assumed to have been placed there by the wealthy merchant under the name of Vincenzo Tomicic who owned the property from 1884 to 1891 - an influential commerce figure of the 19th century who traded wheat and flour across the Dalmatia, Venice and the Mediterranean Sea.
The apartment is blessed with the magnificent views of the St Tripun (local name) Cathedral. One can confidently say, probably an apartment with the most beautiful views in the Kotor Old Town.

Welcome to our Portun. We'd like you to enjoy your stay and feel at home. Our flat has been decorated with great love and care in order to provide a unique rustic feel to our guests.
In return, we'd like to ask that you respect our space and take good care of all the furniture and appliances.
Please leave each room tidy and in orderly fashion.
Switch off all lights and appliances when leaving the flat.
Take your rubbish out daily into the communal bins placed between 8h to 10h and 15h to 17h just few steps on the right outside the front gate and behind the Cathedral.
The majestic sounds of the Cathedral bells dated 1166 are performed on each our and half an hour reminding us of the magnificent history The Old Town holds.
If you are not one who appreciates Cathedral bells than perhaps a flat in another location may be more suitable for you. Although, Old Town is very small and the bells will be heard wherever you are, albeit at slightly lesser volume.
The two smaller rooms consist of 2 iron single beds as shown on the photos. They can easily be put next to each other. If you prefer that set up please advise us in advance and we will accommodate.
There are two aircon systems in the flat. One in the living room, one upstairs in the landing that leads to bedrooms.
(Setting up numerous aircons is slightly restricted in the Old Town in order not to ruin the ancient walls of the fasade.)
They have strong capacity to cool or heat entire space. For the bedrooms, it is advised their doors stay open to ensure cool air circulation. If you require privacy and like your doors shut at all times please advise us and we will provide you with the single cooling/heating tower.
Please close all windows and shutters during bad weather and before check out.
All windows and shutters are traditional, made out of wood which breathes and on occasion a slight effort is needed to close them. They must remain of wood to preserve the heritage.
Please lock the front door whilst residing in the flat.
Leave the boiler switched on at all times to ensure continuous flow of hot water.
Please note that the unit doors that cover the front of the washing machine should not be closed any futher so to ensure that the machine powder flap can be pulled out properly and filled in.
Inventory is taken before each check in and after each check out. Please handle all appliances with care and leave all inventory as found.
Partying and loud music is strictly prohibited.
Self check in is enabled using the key box provided to give you flexibility. You can arrive any time from 15h through the night of your arrival.
